Exciting Opportunity for Coders and Cybersecurity Enthusiasts
Reply has officially opened registrations for the highly anticipated Reply Hack The Code Challenge 2025, set to take place on March 12th, 2025. This year’s challenge brings a unique twist, combining programming and cybersecurity for the first time. Participants will face a dual challenge, tackling algorithmic problems and cybersecurity tasks, offering an unparalleled opportunity for coding enthusiasts and security experts to showcase their skills.
Two Editions for Different Levels of Expertise
As in previous years, the competition will feature two parallel challenges. The Standard Edition is designed for university students and professionals, while the Teen Edition is specifically aimed at secondary school students. Both editions will require participants to solve a series of algorithmic programming problems within a six-hour window, using provided input files and adhering to defined scoring rules.
A New Twist: Cybersecurity Challenges
One of the most exciting additions to this year’s competition is the integration of cybersecurity challenges. Based on the popular Capture the Flag (CTF) model, the competition will include extra challenges in the categories of Miscellaneous, Crypto, and Web. These challenges will allow participants to unlock additional input files and earn bonus points, providing an exciting and dynamic layer to the competition.
Teen Edition Rewards and Scholarships
The Teen Edition will consist of five progressively difficult problems. The best participants will have the opportunity to earn two 50% scholarships for a Bachelor’s Program at Albert School, in collaboration with Mines Paris PSL. The scholarship is applicable at one of the Albert School campuses in Milan, Geneva, Madrid, Paris, Marseille, or Lyon. Additionally, participants can double their scores by solving a bonus CTF challenge, providing extra motivation and excitement.
Coding with AI: A New Educational Initiative
In a nod to the growing influence of artificial intelligence, this year’s Reply Challenge will feature an expanded Coding with AI learning section. This area, designed to prepare participants for the event, will offer interactive educational content, including videos, slides, and quizzes. Participants will have the opportunity to explore how AI can enhance coding, helping them analyze and optimize their solutions. However, while AI will be a valuable tool, it will not be enough on its own to conquer the challenges, highlighting the importance of honing problem-solving and analytical skills.
AI in Coding: A Tool, Not a Shortcut
The problems presented in the Reply Hack The Code Challenge will primarily focus on logical and mathematical reasoning, encouraging participants to think critically and creatively. AI tools will be available to help participants optimize their approaches, but the challenges are designed to test both human ingenuity and technological support. This year’s event promises to be a perfect blend of innovation, education, and competition.
A Chance to Showcase Skills and Win Big
The Reply Hack The Code Challenge 2025 promises to be an exciting and rewarding experience for participants across the globe. By combining coding challenges with cybersecurity tasks and AI learning tools, this event provides an opportunity for participants to showcase their talent, learn new skills, and potentially win prestigious scholarships. Whether you’re a university student, a professional, or a secondary school student, this competition offers a chance to be part of a unique event that fuses the worlds of programming and cybersecurity.
