RefrigiWear, a global leader in insulated industrial workwear, personal protective equipment (PPE), and accessories, has announced the acquisition of two prominent European workwear companies, Tessuto and Goldfreeze. These acquisitions bolster RefrigiWear’s growing presence in Europe and further strengthen its position as the largest global provider of insulated PPE for cold chain industries.

Tessuto: A Trusted Name in Cold Chain Apparel

Tessuto, based in the Netherlands, is renowned for its high-quality, customized insulated apparel for cold chain workers. The company’s strong reputation in providing freezer and cold store clothing has earned it recognition across Europe. The acquisition of Tessuto enables RefrigiWear to enhance its offerings to workers who operate in extremely cold environments, ensuring their safety and comfort while they perform critical tasks in the food production and distribution sectors.

Goldfreeze: Protection for Both Cold and Heat

The second acquisition, Goldfreeze, a UK-based supplier, specialises in protective apparel for both cold and heat environments. Known for their durable and effective clothing, Goldfreeze products help workers navigate the challenges posed by extreme temperatures, whether in frigid cold storage spaces or hot, demanding industrial settings. This acquisition further expands RefrigiWear’s range of solutions for industries requiring temperature-regulated workwear.

    Strengthening RefrigiWear’s European Presence

Tessuto and Goldfreeze now join FlexiTog, a UK-based company that RefrigiWear acquired in January 2024, under the RW Workwear group umbrella. This consolidation of European workwear brands allows RefrigiWear to extend its reach across the continent, uniting the best-in-class solutions for workers in challenging environments. Together, the brands form a robust portfolio that is equipped to support the cold chain industry’s growing demand for high-quality insulated apparel and accessories.

“We are focused on supporting our customers wherever they are,” said Ryan Silberman, CEO of RefrigiWear. “By welcoming Tessuto and Goldfreeze into our fold, we expand our ability to provide premium cold protection, helping workers perform their jobs with confidence and safety in extreme temperatures.”

Expanding Product Range and Service Capabilities

The integration of Tessuto and Goldfreeze into the RW Workwear group enhances the product selection and service capabilities available to customers worldwide. The collaboration brings together three key European brands, FlexiTog, Tessuto, and Goldfreeze, alongside RefrigiWear and Samco in the Americas, to deliver a comprehensive range of insulated workwear, footwear, and accessories.

“Our customers will benefit greatly from the increased range of products and improved service capabilities,” stated Rolf Lyon, Managing Director of FlexiTog. Tarek Hayat, Managing Director of Goldfreeze, echoed this sentiment, adding, “This acquisition will significantly enhance the product offerings and capabilities available to our existing and future customers. Together, we will continue to provide the best protective solutions for workers in challenging environments.”

Delivering Global Solutions for Cold Chain Workers

RefrigiWear’s acquisitions of Tessuto and Goldfreeze align with its ongoing mission to provide workers in cold chain environments with the tools they need to stay safe, warm, and productive. With these acquisitions, RefrigiWear is better positioned to support industries such as food production and distribution, which rely on cold storage to maintain the safety and quality of products delivered worldwide.

As RefrigiWear continues to expand, its commitment to high quality, innovative solutions for cold chain workers remains steadfast, reinforcing its leadership in the global PPE market.
