Global Supply Chain Leader Strengthens Commitment to Excellence, Sustainability, and Safety

AIT Worldwide Logistics, a leading global supply chain solutions provider, has proudly announced that over a dozen of its locations in five Asian countries have received prestigious ISO certifications. These include ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14064-3, affirming the company’s unwavering commitment to quality management, environmental responsibility, workplace safety, and transparent greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting.

    A Landmark Achievement for AIT-Asia

Wilson Lee, Senior Vice President of AIT Worldwide Logistics for the Asia Pacific region, expressed pride in this significant milestone. He stated, “This achievement marks a major step for AIT-Asia, underlining our dedication to operational excellence, sustainability, and delivering outstanding value to our customers. Our teams across the region have worked tirelessly to integrate these internationally recognised standards into every aspect of our operations, and I am incredibly proud of their efforts.”

The ISO certifications reflect AIT’s continuous efforts to meet global standards that ensure exceptional service quality and support its environmental and safety initiatives. ISO 9001:2015 certification guarantees consistent service excellence, while ISO 14001:2015 demonstrates AIT’s dedication to minimising its environmental footprint. The company’s focus on employee safety is showcased by its ISO 45001:2018 certification, and ISO 14064-3 confirms AIT’s commitment to its ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2035 through accurate and verified GHG emissions accounting.

Supporting ESG Standards and Client Goals

The new certifications are also aligned with AIT’s broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals. Lee noted, “By achieving these certifications, AIT is reducing waste, cutting costs, and improving efficiency across our operations. These steps enable us to provide our customers with more reliable and effective logistics solutions that align with their own sustainability objectives.”

Lee also highlighted the role these certifications play in strengthening AIT’s sustainability-driven business model. “Our commitment to sustainability not only reduces operational impact but also helps our clients reach their own ESG targets by providing them with trusted, transparent logistics solutions,” he added.

    A Thorough Certification Process

The certification process, which began in March 2024, involved comprehensive internal and external audits, system upgrades, and process enhancements. AIT’s offices in China, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam received the certifications, with the exception of two newly established facilities in Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which were added to the network just last month.

These certifications, awarded by Hong Kong Certification Services International, Ltd., will remain valid until October 2027, ensuring AIT continues to meet the highest international standards in quality, safety, and sustainability.

Plans for Further Expansion and Future Initiatives

Looking to the future, AIT plans to expand its electric vehicle (EV) and recycling programs throughout the Asia-Pacific region, further enhancing its sustainability efforts. The company also intends to pursue Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification, a key step in reinforcing its reputation as a trusted, sustainable logistics provider.

As AIT continues to advance its sustainability practices and deliver top-tier service, it remains at the forefront of global supply chain solutions, committed to making a lasting impact on both the environment and its customers.
