Street Fighter LEGO Set Rumoured to Land in Late 2027 Alongside New Movie

A Street Fighter LEGO set is reportedly in the works, with a well-known LEGO leaker pointing to a late 2027 release window that coincides broadly with renewed interest in the franchise following a new Street Fighter film.

The Leak and What We Know So Far

The rumour originates from Instagram account carter_bricks04, a leaker whose previous claims about upcoming LEGO products have frequently been confirmed. According to that account, a Street Fighter LEGO set is coming in ‘Late 2027’. No images or official product details have surfaced alongside the claim, which means the community is currently working entirely from that single data point.

That lack of detail has opened the floor to speculation about what form a Street Fighter LEGO set might actually take. The range of possibilities is genuinely wide. At one end sits something relatively modest: a minifigure mystery box series, a format that has grown considerably in popularity. At the other end sits a large, multi-thousand-piece set built around iconic locations and characters, the kind of release that tends to carry a premium price and target an enthusiast audience rather than a broad one.

Given the timing, the new Street Fighter film releasing in October is almost certainly a factor. Toy and merchandise tie-ins around major film releases are standard practice, and a LEGO collaboration would fit that pattern comfortably. Whether the set leans into the film’s aesthetic or draws more heavily on the games’ long history is an open question, but it is the sort of creative decision that will define the product’s appeal.

What a Street Fighter LEGO Set Could Look Like

The Capcom franchise gives LEGO designers an enormous amount of material to work with. Decades of games have produced an instantly recognisable roster of fighters and a set of stages that are embedded in gaming culture. A set built around Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and company in minifigure form would have obvious shelf appeal, and the franchise’s visual style translates well into the blocky geometry that defines the medium.

There is also the question of vehicles and locations. Street Fighter II in particular introduced a bonus stage featuring a car that has since become one of the game’s most fondly remembered non-combat moments, and that vehicle also appears in the new film. A LEGO build centred on something like that would carry genuine nostalgia value for players who grew up with the series in the early nineties, though it would be a more niche proposition than a character-focused set aimed squarely at film audiences.

The honest answer is that without any leaked imagery or parts lists, the format remains entirely open. A smaller set in the low-hundreds-of-pieces range, priced accessibly, seems a reasonable guess for a franchise that needs to appeal across a wide age range, but that is speculation rather than sourced information.

A Long Wait Ahead for Street Fighter Fans

Late 2027 is a considerable way off, and it is worth remembering that this remains an unconfirmed rumour at this stage, however credible the source. No official announcement has been made by LEGO or the rights holders, and the Street Fighter community’s reaction has reflected that uncertainty, with opinions ranging from excitement to measured scepticism about what the set will actually deliver.

For anyone keeping a close eye on the Street Fighter franchise’s expanding presence outside of games, though, a LEGO tie-in would represent a meaningful addition to what is shaping up to be a busy period for the property. More details, if and when they emerge, will almost certainly surface well ahead of any official announcement.
