Keeping it in the family
David Levy's wife Christine Anne Fox runs a private home based English tutoring business for children from the one bedroom London flat she shares with David Levy. Investigative reporters have contacted Levy's neighbours to find out what they know about the couple. They were told that Levy and Fox moved to a smaller one bedroom flat from her previous much larger property, as Levy could not stand his wife Christine Fox's daughter. By only having one bedroom, it meant she could not live with them, or influence her mother as the previous property was only held in the name of Levy's wife, not jointly held prior to the move. The current property occupied by David Levy is valued according to Zoopla somewhere in the range £750,000 - £1,000,000.
Christine Fox edited David Levy's book Love and Sex with Robots, and knows all about David Levy's obsession with sex robots and dolls including his controversial views on supplying child sex robots to paedophiles. In spite of this knowledge, Christine doesn't seem to mind children coming into their one bedroom flat alone. In a mainstream interview, Levy specifically mentioned his wife Christine Fox being aware of his controversial views but not minding them, and remarking on them "as just a bit odd".
Despite Levy claiming to have no money for refunds, he has access to plenty of cash as Christine Fox charges £60 for each one hour lesson of private tutoring with practically no overheads, and Christine recommends weekly tuition for her clients from their one bedroom flat at 34 Courthope Road, NW3 2LD in London.
At the initial tuition meeting, Christine meets up with the parents and the child, then the parents are requested to leave the flat for 30 minutes leaving the child alone with Christine and David Levy. There is no charge for this initial consultation while they all get to know each other. Parents are not made aware of David Levy's history with sex robots during the initial consultation nor Christine Fox’s approval and support of her husbands activities.
Christine Fox also helped her husband David Levy defraud the VAT and tax man, as well as fellow shareholders in the company Intelligent Toys Ltd by giving her husband her proxy vote to enable him to close the company and defraud all concerned parties.
David Levy claims he has no money to refund Vega+ backers who are out of pocket, yet Levy has received the following:
- While a director of RCL, David Levy took control of approximately £500k of Vega+ funds from backers that was supposed to fund the production of the Vega+, including more than £100,000 that Levy personally withdrew as "director fees".
- Both Levy and his wife Christine Fox receive old age pensions.
- Levy's wife Christine Fox also receives the pension from her former work as a school teacher.
- David Levy receives a regular stream of income for his talks on child sex robots and his controversial speeches about supplying child sex robots to paedophiles. Levy was due to speak at the recently cancelled ACE conference.
Several backers have personally knocked on David Levy's door asking for refunds, with Levy's wife Christine Fox all too aware of the Vega+ scandal. Christine Fox must approve of what is happening with the project by keeping everything in the family, with David Levy's son Allistair Levy paid £1562 for the fake Vega+ launch party photos, and David Levy's daughter's wedding paid for out of the "ring-fenced" backer funds.
David Levy revealed to a neighbour recently that he also used the income received from Retro Computers Ltd to pay for the private medical care and operations for Christine Fox on her knee and hip replacements. The neighbour told the investigative journalist that Levy said "we don't do the NHS - we only go private".
